A new campaign to raise awareness about slip and trip risks will begin next month, the HSE has announced.
The executive's 2008 campaign on slips, trips and falls from height, "Shattered Lives", is aimed at those in the highest-risk occupations, including construction workers; electricians, gas fitters and other tradespeople; kitchen staff; and food retail staff.
Every month more than 1,000 workers are seriously injured as a result of a slip, trip or fall at work.
The HSE's Shattered Lives campaign, which will run during February and March, will offer simple guidance on how to reduce the risks of a slip or trip accident at work.
