Safe lifting guide published

The International Association of Oil & Gas Producers has issued a best-practice guide to safe lifting and hoisting in the oil and gas industry.
Lifting and hoisting operations are the second most common cause of fatalities in oil and gas exploration and production worldwide.
The new guide focuses on eight key principles, including planning, control, competence and inspection. Lifting and Hoisting Safety Recommended Practice is available free from www.ogp.org.uk
