



RSS is a useful internet facility that makes your favourite websites much more accessible to you.
Basically, RSS means that you can be alerted when your favourite websites (including HSP) have added new articles. As soon as a new article is put up on a website, you can see the headline appearing on your own computer screen - without you having to actually visit the site.
In other words, RSS provides a "feed" of articles from whichever websites you choose, to your own computer. Instead of you having to go to a website to find new information, that information is sent to you.
And, just in case you were wondering, RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication".
To make use of an RSS feed, the first thing you need is a "News Reader". This is a piece of software or a browser plug-in. It allows you to select RSS feeds from different sites, and then it automatically checks those feeds, and lets you read any new articles that have been added. Once you have a News Reader, you can then subscribe to the HSP RSS feed. We provide three HSP RSS feeds:
