RSS: How you can be kept up to date with the latest HSP articles

RSS is a useful internet facility that makes your favourite websites much more accessible to you.

Basically, RSS means that you can be alerted when your favourite websites (including HSP) have added new articles. As soon as a new article is put up on a website, you can see the headline appearing on your own computer screen - without you having to actually visit the site.

In other words, RSS provides a "feed" of articles from whichever websites you choose, to your own computer. Instead of you having to go to a website to find new information, that information is sent to you.

And, just in case you were wondering, RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication".

How do I use the HSP RSS feed?

To make use of an RSS feed, the first thing you need is a "News Reader". This is a piece of software or a browser plug-in. It allows you to select RSS feeds from different sites, and then it automatically checks those feeds, and lets you read any new articles that have been added. (For more information on how to get a News Reader, see below).

Once you have a News Reader, you can then subscribe to the HSP RSS feed. We provide three HSP RSS feeds:

  1. A feed of our FREE TO VIEW articles. This does not include our subscriber-only articles.
  2. A feed of subscriber-only articles.
  3. A feed of ALL articles - which includes both free and subscriber-only articles. (If you're not a subscriber, you can only see the first paragraph of subscriber-only articles).

To subscribe to our HSP RSS feed, select the feed you want by:

  • Dragging the relevant orange RSS logo into your News Reader, or
  • Cutting and pasting the URL of the RSS feed into your News Reader.

Then, whenever we add or update an article on the HSP site, you will be immediately alerted
